Golden Smokey Eye!

Hello you  beautiful lot ❤

A little while ago I walked you guys trough a make-up look I created with the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette and you seemed to enjoy it so I thought I would add to the collection by walking you through another make-up look!
I have chosen a golden smokey eye and this is one of my go to looks for a pretty make-up look with minimal effort so I think it is perfect to share with you all, so let’s get into it! As always, everything I can link is linked in the post ❤

~ Skincare ~

I always, always, always start any make-up look of with making sure my skin is prepped and ready for the make-up to go on there! I use a gel cleanser to clean my face and at the moment I am using the Garnier Miceller Gel Wash (review here) to quickly remove any excess dirt and oil from my beauty sleep. I also use the Garnier 3-in-1 Scrub to remove any excess dirt, clear my pores and remove any dead skin cells and then I use the Simple Kind to Skin Rich Replenishing Moisturizer to hydrate my skin and make it all happy and smooth before applying any make-up.

~ Base ~

For my foundation I have been using the Revlon Colourstay Foundation for combination/oily skin and it works so well on my skin! The colour match is lovely, it blends beautifully and because it is made for combination./oily skin it stays in place all day long and doesn’t get oily and smear everywhere throughout a day, win win! I apply this with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

I have recently been using and LOVING the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Ivory, oh my word, guys, if you have not tried this concealer then you NEED to! It is so pigmented, blends beautifully, says in place all day an makes my skin FLAWLESS. What more could you possibly want?! I apply this under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, onto my forehead and on any problem areas (massive spots) so they are covered for the day ha! I blend this out with the Real Techniques Sponge

To set all of this into place I use my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder all over my face to keep my foundation and concealer in place all day long. I use the Real Techniques Powder Brush to apply this.

~ Contour & Bronze ~

For my contour & bronzer I use the same product which is the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. This bronzer is so gorgeous for both a contour and an all over brozne and I can’t seem to use anything else at the moment! I use a Real Technique’s Blush Brush and swirl that into the product, tap off any excess, and squish the brush together to form more of a line rather than a large brush head and lightly contour using this then keep the brush fluffier to blend the bronzer on my cheeks, around my forehead and under my jawline to overall bronze the face!

~ Blush & Highlight ~

For blusher I have been obsessed with the Sleek Rose Gold Blusher, it is honestly so flippin’ gorgeous, looks perfect on my skintone and just gives such a healthy natural looking glow to my skin. As it has shimmer in it as well it makes you look quite youthful and glowy too which I love! I apply this onto the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards towards my hairline gently with a Real Technique’s Cheek Brush from the Nic’s Pic’s Collection.

For highlight I have been obsessing over the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Crystal Ball which was part of the Summer ’17 collection. Oh my goddd, I am literally obsessed! The shimmer and shine you get from those highlighters is STUNNING. You can use a small amount for a slight glow or go all out and blind like the sun, they are so stunning either way and I am honestly so obsessed, I adore this product so much! I use a Real Techniques Finishing Brush and blend this on the tops of my cheekbones, under my brow bone, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow to give me a beaut glow all over ❤

~ Eyes ~

So, obviously the eyes are the star of the show.. well, I think so anyway! I used the Urban Decay Naked palette to create this look and I honestly adore doing this eye look on me! I started with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in And On Bronze which is a cream eyeshadow base and blended this all over my eyelid and lightly up into the crease as well to create a shimmery and bronzey base for the eyeshadows to sit on.
I then took the shade Half Baked from the Naked Palette which is a beautiful shimmery golden colour and packed this all over the lid with a flat eyeshadow brush from Real Techniques and blended this out to soften the line and create a seamless blend of the colour on top of the base. I then used a Real Techniques Angled Shadow Brush from the Nic’s Pic’s Collection and added the shade Smog and a small amount of Darkhorse from the Naked Palette into the outer corner of my eye and into the crease slightly to create a winged look on the eyeshadow then blended this out really well with a fluffy blending brush from Real Techniques.
I then added the shade Sin into the inner corner of my eye to create a lovely bit of highlight in that area and used this colour under my brow as well to create a highlight there as well, I added this colour with my finger to create more of an impact for the colour.
I then used the excess product left on my angled shadow brush from Real Techniques to blend some Smog and Darkhorse on my outer lower lash line to create a bit more definition under the lash line.

I then  lined my upper lash line with my Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner and created a wing on my eye and added a good few quotes of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara to my upper and lower lashes to create lovely long and fluttery lashes.

~ Brows ~

For my brows I have been obsessed with the Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Love Is Blonde to fill in my brows! This product creates a really nice definition, fills in the gaps well and is so easy to use, gotta love it pals! I start from the front and fill in the brow with some light lines, then fill in the arch and tail of the brows with small strokes of the product and finally sharpen up the lines of the brow then comb it all through to create a more natural brow look ❤

~ Lips ~

For the lips on this look I used the Kylie Cosmetics Lipkit in KoKo K (review here). I wanted a nice nudey pink to compliment the less dramatic eye look and this colour was PERFECT for that! These liquid lipsticks apply so nicely, are super comfortable on the lips, aren’t drying at all and stay in place all day long.. what a dream ❤

So there you go guys, that is how I created this golden smokey eye! Whats is your favourite make-up look to create? ❤

Lots of love and talk soon,

Laura xo
