February Faves!

Hey there you beautiful things you!

Here in the UK it is SO cold at the moment, so staying inside and cosying up is my new hobby hah! So, whilst I am tucked up inside I thought I would let you guys know my February favourites! I know I haven’t done a favourites post in a while and I do miss writing them for you so hopefully you will enjoy reading it 🙂
So, without further ado, let’s see what I have been loving throughout February shall we? As always I will link the products I can in the main body of the text, just click the products name ❤

~ Skincare ~

As the UK is in full blown winter still skincare has to be top of my list to ensure I am protecting my skin as well as keeping it as healthy as possible. I really stripped back my skincare recently as I was getting constant break-outs and scaring so I wanted to see if stripping back my skincare would help and it seems to be working so far! So, here are the products I have been using this month.

Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel Cleanser

This cleanser is A M A Z I N G. I have never used a cleanser that is so easy, leaves the skin clear of all make-up and is also gentle & smells pretty good too! You simply dampen your face and then massage a few pumps of the cleanser into your face in circular motions and then rinse clean. It is so gentle, so lovely and removes all traces of make-up, even stubborn waterproof mascara and liquid lips effortlessly! Absolute win from me, in love with it. Don’t fight me on this one.

Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Clay Mask, Scrub & Wash

As I mentioned above I have tried to strip back my skincare a little over the past couple of months so that my skin wasn’t getting bombarded with a load of products everyday which could have been causing the breakouts rather than fixing them! So, I decided to go back to this trusty product which I know works for me and is relatively gentle too! As it triples up as a wash, scrub & mask I knew I was onto a winner as my face could get 3 different treatments with the same product, so it wouldn’t freak out and breakout as it was already used to the product which was a HUGE bonus! I love this product, it works well on my skin, leaves it feeling refreshed and silky smooth and it is cheap as chips. Whats not to love eyyy?

Simple Moisturiser

I am like a broken record with this but, as I have mentioned, stripping my skincare back was an essential for me to see if the breakouts would chill and bugger off, so I went back to a super gentle, really hydrating moisturiser which I have used before and know it works well for my skin. The Simple skincare products are genuinely lovely, have less ingredients in, are perfect for sensitive skin and actually work which is a bonus! This moisturiser really hydrates my skin and works like a dream for me, it doesn’t clog up my pores and doesn’t encourage breakouts so all round its a winner for me! Plus, the price point is SUPER affordable which has a big thumbs up from me! ❤

~ Haircare ~

My haircare routine has also been simplified recently, mainly due to the fact I ran out of some products and didn’t both re-purchasing them HA! I’m nothing if not honest 😉 I do think my hair is thanking me for stripping things back a little so here are some of my faves from this past month 🙂

Herbal Essences Daily Detox Shampoo & Conditioner

I have really gotten back into the idea of cleansing my hair at least once a week to strip back any build up of products and making sure its clean without the heavy feeling some products leave in there. This duo has been a god send, I have loved using the products, my hair feels SO clean afterwards and holy crap the conditioner leaves my hair feeling like actual silk. If people stroked it, I would not blame them, as it is that shiny and soft thanks to this pairing ❤

Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Hair Oil

I have used Garnier products on and off on my hair for years now. I have switched up which oils, hair masks and leave in products and I always, always, always come back to this hair oil. It is light weight, nourishes my hair and leaves it feeling so silky and soft! It also smells A M A Z I N G which you cannot get mad about 😉 it is simply lovely, I pump some of the oil into my hand and distribute it through towel dried hair so it leaves my hair feeling healthy and smooth which is perfect! The price point is peeeerfect for someone on a budget too so its a winner!

~ Make-up ~

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I know what you’re all thinking.. ‘another Urban Decay palette?! Really?!’
YES. REALLY. I love them, and they love me! I got this little beauty for Christmas off my wonderful boyfriend and I honestly feel in love. It’s SO gorgeous. It is full off mattes & shimmers, intense pigmentation and a whole work of looks you can create! It is travel friendly, you can wear it for day or night looks.. it’s amazing. I adore it. Love, love, love.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I rediscovered this beauty buried in my make-up collection when we were packing up to move (blog post coming soon I promise) and I am so glad I stumbled across it! I would class this foundation as a medium coverage, its blendable, stays put all day long and looks lovely. The colour match is pretty good considering its a drugstore product and its super duper affordable. Try it, it’s nice 🙂

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost – Crystal Ball

Okay, I am SORRY, but this beauty is no longer available! It was part of the Summer Chrome collection from Jeffree’s brand and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it! It is the perfect colour for my skin tone as it is white essentially haha! The packaging is beaaautiful, like all of Jeffree’s products, it is SO pigmented and super buildable so you can have a hint of a glow or a full blown blinding highlight! It’s honestly stunning! You may not be able to grab this one anymore, however, Jeffree has SO MANY shades to choose from I am sure you’ll find something that is similar to this one 🙂

~ Television ~

Ja’mie Private School Girl – BBC iPlayer

I watched this programme for the first time when I was in my third year of University, so that was around 5 years ago now and LOVED it. So, when I saw they had re-added the boxset onto BBC iPlayerI was THRILLED. I have spam watched every episode at least 5 times in the past month and I am not even ashamed. Its hilarious, its easy watching and honestly just makes me smile! Perfection. Watch it if you haven’t already, or if you have, its incredible ha!

Friends – Netflix

Okay, Friends has been my spam watch programme ever since I was a young teen and lived at home. So, when I moved out and lost my Sky access and couldn’t watch it anymore I was pretty devastated ha! However, Netflixanswered all of our hopes and prayers by adding ALL TEN SEASONS on New Year’s Day! YES, THAT’S RIGHT. All 10 seasons are available for your viewing pleasure and it is legit a dream come true. I am not ashamed to say I have watched all 10 seasons through twice already ha! One of my all time fave shows and I will love it forever! ❤

~ Books ~

I have finally found a balance with my university work, home life and my hobbies so I am thrilled to say that I have finally been able to start reading for fun again! YAY! I was bought Flawed by my boyfriend a while ago and was hooked from the get-go so obvs once I had finished I HAD to get the follow-up to see what happened! This story is fast paced, hooks you in and keeps you wanting more. I haven’t read a book that had me hooked so early on in the story for a loooong time!So definitely give this series a read if you’re after a fast paced and easy read! ❤

Flawed – Cecelia Ahern

Perfect – Cecelia Ahern

So there you go my lovelies, here are some of the things I have been loving throughout the month of February! Let me know what you have been loving in the comments and I will see you all soon!

All of the love & talk soon,

Laura xo
