Anniversary Adventure!

Hey guys ❤

I know it’s been a while since I posted anything on here so I thought I would kick off the New Year by sharing some memories from my getaway with Kyle for our anniversary!

Kyle planned and booked the whole trip and I knew barely anything minus where we were going and when so it was so lovely to get out of Sheffield together as well as doing something memorable for our first anniversary!
We went to Edinburgh for two nights and stayed in an AirBnB and it was honestly perfect. We stayed in Leith which is just outside of Edinburgh city centre and closer to the coast which was so, so beautiful ❤

The whole weekend was honestly so calm, relaxing and cute I just loved every second. Our anniversary falls at the end of November so we were there for the Christmas Markets too which was, in my case, a dream! I adore Christmas so adding in some Christmas magic into a perfect weekend away was just lovely!

We ended up driving up from Sheffield with a rental car so by the time we arrived we chilled for a little, grabbed some snacks and drinks from the corner shop then got ready to head out for dinner that evening. We ended up going to a lovely tapas restaurant in Leith called Tapa and it was SO yum! It was the perfect meal after a long day of travelling too! Quick and delicious! We then went for a bit of a wander, froze to death in the baltic winds that surround Edinburgh thanks to it being so close to the coast and took shelter in a cute little bar for a drink or two! ❤

The next day we went into Edinburgh city centre, explored the city and did some touristy things whilst we were there too! We ended up going into the Scottish National Portrait Gallery (mainly to get out of the cold), we did the Edinburgh Castle tour, we went into Camera Obscura which is an optical illusions museum and had a wander around the Christmas Markets, explored the city and just enjoyed a nice relaxed day in Edinburgh. Edinburgh is one of my favourite cities in the world and to go there with the guy I adore for our Anniversary was a dream come true ❤

We then grabbed a quick bite whilst we were in the city and headed back to our cosy little flat for a film night by the fire with a couple of drinks and snacks. It was honestly perfect ❤
The next day we woke up and headed in Leith for a bit of a wander and to hunt down some yum brunchy foods. The weather was actual perfection on the Sunday, clear blue skies, crisp breeze.. dreamy. I love Winter days like the one we experienced in Leith so I was all about it! We went for a walk around the harbour then went to warm up in Toast which was in Leith for some beaut coffee and the best eggs benedict ever ❤

On our drive up we drove past some absolutely stunning coastlines and I just couldn’t resist dragging Kyle to one so we could experience it whilst we were there! We googled which beaches were nice and near Leith and found one that was only a tiny bit away from our journey home route so we headed on over!
The beach we went to was called Longniddry and it was honestly breathtaking. I am such a water baby, I honestly adore anything to do with the beach and being near the water so this was just perfection. Clear blue skies, no other people in sight and just stunning views all round… I was honestly in heaven and it was such a perfect ending to our perfect little getaway! It was absolutely freezing and so windy it was ridiculous but honestly.. it was perfect ❤

Kyle out did himself with this trip for our anniversary, I don’t know he’d ever top it to be honest but I’m sure he will try too! It was just perfect, and such special memories for us to make together ❤
I feel so full of love and happiness looking back at these photos and I hope you enjoy looking at them too! Lots of love ❤

Talk soon,

Laura xo
