Hey guys!

I thought I would share 24 things I have learnt or learnt to do in my 24 years.
I did a looking back post last year and wanted to change things up a bit this year so here we go…

1.Let it Go. 
Walking away from things without having the final say is really hard, especially for me, but honestly learning to let things go has been a pretty big achievement for me!

2. My Happiness.
Learning how to take into account my own happiness rather than other peoples is something I still struggle with, but I am aware of it, so it is important and I am working on it.

3. Saying ‘yes’. 
Saying yes to things that may be frowned upon or judged by other people is something I have learnt to do. So what if others find it stupid? Go to the concert, go on the date and buy the outfit. Say yes.

4. Not everyone is nice.
This may seem obvious, but you learn this pretty quickly and stay aware of it.

5. Things can and will happen to you.
Never think that things ‘will never happen to you.’ They can and they will.

6. Some people come and go. 
Take note of who has stuck around through thick and thin. They’re the real friends, the ones who ditch you or forget about you or get bored aren’t.

7. Do more of what makes YOU happy. 
This may sound simple, but seriously, do what makes YOU happy. Not what makes OTHERS happy.

8. Some relationships are toxic. 
This was a hard lesson to learn, but some people are toxic and you need to recognise why and remove yourself from them. No matter how hard it is, you need to walk away.

9. Know what you want from relationships. 
This is hard, and takes A LOT of trial and error. But you can and you will learn what you want from ANY relationship in your life and don’t compromise for anyone. If you want something, go for it.

 10. Eating Nutella from the jar is FAB. 
Sometimes, nothing else will cut it apart from a spoonful of Nutella straight from the jar. It’s great, it helps, I love it. Adult or not, take a spoon and eat away!

11. Being drunk at 4am with your besties is the best. 
You have the BEST chats with people in the early hours of the morning. Revel in it, remember it and cherish it.

12. Stop Comparing.
You can sit and compare yourself for days, weeks, months or years to ‘famous’ people, people from school or your work colleagues. Why bother? You’re you for a reason, embrace it. Others may be comparing themselves to you too, so show em what they’re missing and live your best life ❤

13. Love is the best feeling. 
Whether this is being in love with a partner, feeling the love from your family or feeling a part of an extended family with your besties. Love is the best feeling in the world.

14. Snuggling under a blanket is incredible.
Being all cosy under a blanket with a cuppa and a good book or a film… best feeling ever.

15. Look up more often. 
Honestly, at day or night just stare at the sky. Even if you can’t see any stars, you will see a plane, see funny shaped clouds or even a satellite. It helps ground you, make you realise there is so much going on away from where you are, and helps you realise that this universe is fucking awesome.

16. Being crazy is stupidly fun. 
If you can’t be insane and giddy with your loved ones then what the hell is the point?! Be stupid, make jokes, pull faces. Enjoy everything.

17. Make Memories. 
When you’re spending time with your loved ones make memories and funny stories. Remove yourself from your phone and focus on them. No one is here forever.

18. Silence is sometimes the best noise.
Sometimes all you need is quiet. You need 10 minutes to switch off. Embrace is and enjoy it. Silence is pretty beautiful.

19. A cuppa & a book.
The simple medicine for all woes in life. Quiet, a cosy blanket, a good book and a mug of tea. Perfection. 

20. Be bold. 
Everyone has heard the whole ‘be a flamingo in a flock full of a pigeons’ and it is SO true. Wear the hat, shoes, dress or lipstick. Colour your hair, mix-up your style. Why the hell not?!

21. Laughter cures everything. 
No matter how down you are, what is going on around you or where you are… laughter can improve even the saddest of situations.

22. Autumn is beautiful.
Autumn is such an under-rated season of the year. The colours, crisp leaves, pumpkin spiced lattes and cosy jumpers. YES.

23. Trust your gut instinct. 
Your gut knows more than you’ll ever know. If you feel something is right, it is, if you feel something is wrong, it is. Listen to yourself and focus on that.

24. Mental Health is SO important. 
Surround yourself with people who bring you up. Who make you laugh, who make you see light in the darkest of days.. your mental health is a domino effect on everything else. Be happy.. always ❤
