Hey guys! ❤
So, I did a haircare routine back in November and you guys seemed to really love it so I thought I would update you on what I use on my hair currently and how I keep it in good condition!
If you didn’t know, I do colour my hair so keeping up a good haircare regime is pretty vital to ensure I keep my hair looking nice and bright blonde as well as keeping it conditioned and happy 🙂
~ Shampoo & Conditioner ~
Washing your hair is a chore in itself, am I right? 😉
These are the products I use for this chore that needs to be repeated 3 times a week, whyyyy?!
Aussie Mega Shampoo
I have used Aussie products on and off for years and I do really love them. The mega shampoo is a clarifying shampoo, as I use a few hair products between washes I like to make sure my hair is squeaky clean when I am washing it so this shampoo is a good one to clear all products out and leave my hair feeling super clean and smelling beaaautiful!
John Frieda Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Conditioner
I have only recently started using this conditioner, however, I absolutely love it! You only need a small amount for it to make your hair feel like silk and be super dooper smooth! YAS! It is honestly so lovely and smells divine, what more could you possibly want? 🙂
John Frieda Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Treatment
Around once a week I do use a conditioning hair mask to make sure my hair is being properly cared for between my colours being added! This mask is lovely, you simply add it one, leave it for 10 minutes, then wash away and you have brand new hair! Well, not quite brand new, but it is super soft and bouncey which is lovely 🙂
PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo
As I have said, I do get my hair coloured, and as this colour is blonde I do need to use a toning shampoo to keep my colour looking bright and removing any of the brassy tones that creep in every now and again! I use this once a week, sometimes twice if needed, but it really helps to remove any brassy tones, recover the colour and keep it looking fresh between colours 🙂
~ After Care ~
After I am out of the bath or shower with squeaky clean hair there are a couple of products I use to add in some extra conditioning care and keep my hair looking smooth and healthy between washes!
SP Wella Luxe Hair Oil Reconstructive Elizir
I have used this hair oil since my hairdresser used it and my hair felt like actual silk. I’m not kidding. It felt so smooth & soft I just had to have this as part of my haircare routine!
I pump some of this into my hand, rub it between both hands and then smooth it through my hair mid-tips first then add the excess to the roots down to the tips of my hair. This is magical stuff, and you really don’t need to use a lot for it to make a huge difference!
John Frieda Sheer Blonde go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray
This stuff is amazing. I do tone my hair, so this isn’t necessary in some respects, but why not make my hair blonder than blonde, ey? 😉
I simply add a few spritzes of this to my hair after I have washed it and added my hair oil to make sure my hair is bright, blonde and beautiful for as long as possible between colours! 🙂
~ Hair Tools & Heat Defence ~
Hair tools are a given, you can’t do a lot without brushing your hair at least so this is what I use to brush my hair and the tools I use to style it!
I have used a Tangle Teezer for a couple of years now and honestly would not use anything else. It glides through my hair without tugging my hair or causing any breaks in the strands of hair and is simply effortless.
For a someone who has thick hair and lots of it, this is a dream come true. YAY.
Remington Silk Hair Straighteners
I have used these straighteners for a few years now and I love them. They do the job, have lasted for around 4 years now and don’t seem to cause any excessive breaks or damage to my hair when I use them 🙂
VO5 Heat Defence Spray
Obviously, as I am using a heated hair tool in the form of my straighteners, I use some heat defence on my hair! I have used this VO5 spray on my hair for years and has helped so much to reduce the damage, keep my hair nice and smooth and keep it looking and feeling nice and healthy! 🙂
So, there you go guys, that is my haircare routine updated for you! As you can see, compared to my last one, I use less products on my hair and honestly, I think my hair is thanking me for using slightly less on my hair between washes! 🙂
If you want to see my post from last year I will leave a link to it here for you!
As always, all products mentioned are linked in this post so click the name of the product and it will take you to where you can pick it up!
