My Everyday Make-up Routine!

I thought I would do something a bit different and share with you what my everyday make-up routine is! As we are heading more into the Winter months I am mixing up my make-up as I can finally wear more ‘heavy duty’ foundations as they run no risks of melting off my face like they would in Summer!
I will be taking you through the skin prep I do and what products I use and how much they are so let’s dive straight in! 🙂

Skin Preparation
Garnier Pure 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub & Mask
As soon as I wake up I drag myself into the bathroom and wash my face so I can, in theory, wake up a bit quicker and feel a bit more ready for the day.
This wash is lovely to use in the morning, it makes me feel so fresh and revitalised and it actually feels like it is doing something good for my skin. I use this more as a wash/scrub to remove any dry skin and get into my pores to remove any dirt and grease from the nights sleep.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel
My skin is prone to being oily during the day and I have noticed a huge difference in using this moisturiser. Ir may be obvious to some but I didn’t realise you could get oil-free moisturisers and this is where I had been going wrong for such a long time! As it is oil-free my skin doesn’t get excess oil on it throughout the day so my skin really thanks me for it and my make-up stays in place all day. Plus, it really moisturises my skin and I have seen a difference in my skin since I started using this moisturiser!

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream
I have mentioned this is my September Favourites and I am still loving it so much and I am wanting to purchase a full size of it! This eye cream is so gentle, insanely moisturing and has really made a difference to my skin.
I love using this morning and night to soothe my eyes as well as inject more moisture in a more delicate area of the face that sometimes get neglected! I have noticed my eyes to seem brighter, more plump and generally hydrated (obviously) so this is a pretty staple addition to my everyday make-up routine!

So, now my skin is all prepped and ready I start off with my make-up so here are the products I have been using recently and in what order I use them too!

Foundation – MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NC15) {RRP £22}
As we are into Winter months here in the UK I can finally wear more heavy duty founations and I have been reaching for this little beauty every single day!
This is a full coverage foundation and covers every single blemish, scar, dark circles under my eyes and I love it so much! This stays in place all day, I don’t need to powder and sort my face out throughout the day and it stays looking perfect which is amazing!
Tool used: I blend this all over my with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Concealer – Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Fair) {RRP £4.19}
A cult classic. I have used this concealer for about 2 years now and I really do like it. It lasts all day, blends like a dream and provides really great coverage. Not a lot else to say about this, I pop this under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, on scaring on my chin and between my eyebrows to add some brightness to the area.
I find this concealer lasts all day, doesn’t move or smudge away throughout the day and matches my skin tone pretty perfectly!
Tool Used: I blend this all in with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Powder – MAC Prep & Prime Transparent Finishing Powder {RRP £21}
After I have popped all of the cream products on my face I set all of it down with this powder. As it is transparent I don’t need to worry about more colour being added to my complexion and making me look like an umpaloompa.
It is such a fine powder and works so well with keeping my make-up matte all day long and preventing any shininess throughout the day. Perfection.
Tool used: Eco Tools Powder Brush

Brows – Soap and Glory Brow Archery (Blonde Ambition) {RRP £10}
Brows – Benefit Gimme Brow Vomumising Brow Gel (Number 1 Light) {RRP £18.50}
When it comes to brows I want something that is fuss free, fills them in quickly and makes them look as natural as possible. These two products combined are my perfect brow.
The Soap and Glory brow product is so easy to apply in small brush strokes and makes my eyebrows look super natural and the Benefit brow gel really adds to the colouring, enhances my natural shape and keeps my brows in place all day long. You can’t go wrong when it comes to these two, I am obsessed!

Contour – Benefit Hoola Bronzer {RRP £23.50}
This bronzer is just perfection. I have spoken about this bronzer before on this blog in a review and raved about it. It is just the most perfect contour and bronzing colour I have come across. It has no orange in it so this is perfect on so many skintones, and is just beautiful on pale skin like I have!
I use this with the brush that comes with the bronzer to concentrate it in a line under my cheekbones then I blend it out with a fluffy brush to difuse the colour and create a nice gradient.
Tool used: Benefit bronzer brush & Real Techniques Blush Brush

Bronzer – MAC Tribal Collection Golden Touch Bronzer {RRP £22}
I got this bronzer as part of a limited edition collection over the summer and it is beautiful. It gives you such a lovely healthy glow.
I dust a little of this along my cheekbones over my contour, up onto my temples, across my forehead and pop some of the excess that is left on my brush under my jawline.
I only use a small amount as it is crazy pigmented but I just love this bronzer so much!
Tool used: Real Techniques Blusher Brush

Blusher – Sleek Shimmer Blush (Rose Gold) {RRP £4.99}
I love, love, love this blusher! It is SUCH a good dupe for the Nars – Orgasm blusher and is a fraction of the price! It is so pigmented and blends like a dream, it gives you a lovely healthy looking blush and stays pigmented all day long and doesn’t disappear like some other blushes can!
Tool used: Real Techniques Nic’s Picks Cheek Brush (limited edition so no longer available)

Eyeshadow Base – Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo (On and On Bronze) {RRP £4.99}
If you haven’t tried these creme shadows from Maybelline then you must’ve been living under a rock! They are so pigmented, blend so easily and stay in place all day long. You can use them as a base for eyeshadow or you can use them on their own to add some colour to your eyelids and look like you’ve made an effort when you really haven’t 😉

Eyeshdows – Urban Decay Naked Palette {RRP £38.50}
I am obsessed with my Naked pallette’s but as we head more into Autumn and Winter I have been grabbing my original Naked palette every single day. I use a mix of Buck and Naked in my crease, Sidecar all over the lid for some shimmer and shine and then some Smog in the outter V of my eye and into my crease just to deepen it up a bit.
This look is so quick and easy and I absolutely love wearing it!
Tool Used : Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush
Tool Used: Real Techniques Nic’s Picks Angled Shadow Brush (limited edition so no longer available)

Eyeliner – Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner (Black) {RRP £5.99}
I cannot go a day without having winged liner on. Unless its a no make-up day, obviously… I love the way it looks on my eyes and the definition it gives to my eye shape. This eyeliner is so easy to use as it is like a felt-tip pen instead of those pots of liquid you get that smudge everywhere. I really enjoy this eyeliner and it stays pigmented and doesn’t smudge whilst wearing it. Winner.

Mascara – Benefit They’re Real Mascara (Black) {RRP £19.50}
I have mentioned this mascara before and I am still obsessed with it. It is so easy to apply, makes my lashes super black, lengthens and thickens them up and doesn’t smudge under my eyes or flake off during the day like some other mascaras tend to. Winner for a day-to-day look.

Highlight – Revolution Blusher Palette (Golden Sugar) {RRP £6}
My friend brought this back as a gift from Spain and thankfully they are finally selling it in the UK so you guys can grab it too! This is the most gorgeous highlight and blush palette. I can’t stop using it to give myself a healthy glow every single day!
Tool Used: Real Techniques Multitask Cheek Brush

So there we have it, that is all of the stuff I dump on my face on a day-to-day basis to attempt to make me look less dead and slightly more presentable 😉
Let me know what your holy grail day-to-day products are in the comments, I would love to know! ❤

Talk soon,

Laura xo
