Drugstore & Highend Beauty Haul!

Hello, beautiful people! ❤

I recently moved from one job to another and was kindly gifted with flowers, prosecco and even more kindly with gift-cards to Boots and John Lewis from my wonderful colleagues! So, I thought I would write a post about what I ended up grabbing with my gift-cards so all of you can drool and I can remember them forever!
So, lets jump right into it! All of the names of the products will be linked out to where you guys can pick up these products for yourself if you like the sound or look of them! ❤

The Boots in Meadowhall has recently added a Nyx Cosmetics counter so I was desperate to go and see what I could pick up, everyone raves about Nyx Cosmetics so I obviously had to at least browse… but I did end up picking up two bits from there!

Nyx Cosmetics Highlight and Contour Pro Palette { RRP £18 }

This palette looks amazing! I have been eyeing this up for a looooong time now so when I was given this Boots gift-card I just knew I was going to grab this!
It has 8 powder’s ranging from dark contour to highlighting shades as well as a yellow toned powder to set underneath your eyes!
Once I have tried this out I will let you know my thoughts on it! So far it looks amazing, I hug it every so often and I am obsessed without even adding it to my face so I think I’ll like it! ❤

Nyx Cosmetics Studio Finishing Powder – Translucent Finish { RRP £8 }

‘Baking’ has been taking over the internet for a long time now, and I knew I wanted to try it but I was slightly skeptical about how it would work! However, I recently picked up a Rimmel Loose Powder in Transparent, however, it does have colour in it so when I saw this beautiful white loose powder I drooled and grabbed it quicker than a free sample in Greggs!
I am very excited to use a powder that has no colour whatsoever so I can set my makeup and concealer without adding extra colour onto my already transparent face!

After ransacking Nyx I headed to the usual haunts for some other bits and bobs so here is what else I picked up ❤

Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara { RRP £5.99 }

Everyone and their mum raves about this mascara so I just really wanted to try it so I grabbed on in my make-up spree!

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara { £7.99 }

This is an oldie but a goody! I love this mascara so I look the opportunity to grab another as I know I love this mascara and it was on offer for buy one get one half price so I had to, guys 😉

Rimmel 1000 Kisses LipLiner ~ Cappuccino { RRP £2.99 }

I already have one of these lip-liners in Tiramisu and I love it so I thought I would push the boat out and grab another brown-y nude… well, you know, stick to my comfort zone but still!
I have seen a few people wearing this shade and it looks lovely so I definitely wanted to try this out!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer { RRP £4.19 }

Obviously had to get more. Don’t judge until you have tried this concealer. Trust me ❤

As well as heading to Boots to spend my giftcard, Meadowhall has finally graced Sheffield with a Kiko shop so I did head there and have a browse around as, once again, everyone and their mum chats about Kiko so… had to, you know? And they had 70% off some of their products so… who could resist that?! Here’s what I got…

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow – 34 Pearly Quartz Rose { RRP £3.40 }

I swatched this and just could not put it down. It is stunning and I cannot wait to use this! It was so pigmented and stayed on my hand all day long, even after I had showered so I was pretty impressed by it’s lasting power!

Kiko Colour Sphere Eyeshadow – 27 Sparkling Cobalt Green { RRP £2.90 }

These eyeshadows looked stunning and once I had set my eyes on this beautiful deep, sparkly blue I could not leave it! I am super excited to use this eyeshadow, especially as we are soon to be heading into Autumn and Winter ❤

So, that is the drugstore products I picked up so now I will talk about the highend make-up product I am going to get with my other giftcard from my wonderfully generous work colleagues!
As you may, or may not, know I have already spoken about the fact I received the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette from my parents for my birthday and since then I have loved it, cherished it and fallen ever more in love. So, I thought it was about time to continue my Urban Decay love affair and grab another eyeshadow palette!
I have decided I want to pick up the original Naked Palette, I have drooled over this for years and I thought it was finally time to expand my collection with the addition of these eyeshadows!

So there you have it, guys! Thanks to my extremely generous work colleagues I was able to expand my make-up collection and grab some items I have wanted for so long but have been unable to justify or afford so I am beyond excited they are now part of my life! ❤

I will let you know my thoughts on them when I have tried them all out I am sure!

Talk soon,

Laura xo
