Beauty Review: Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Recently I decided to treat myself to some make-up (shock horror, I treat myself literally everyday to make-up..) but this time, my lovely people, I decided to splash out on a higher end product and I went for the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Everyone and their mum talks about this bronzer, and after I had a test done in the shop I can see what the hype is all about.
I pretty much fell in love with it instantaneously.
The experience I had buying this product honestly made me love it even more, the girls on the Benefit stand in Boots were the nicest people I have met in a drugstore. They were so kind, were more than willing to let me try and range of products and, best of all, they did not force one thing into my basket. They were more than happy to show me the products and let me make my own mind up, there was no pressure and no add on sales. I was extremely impressed! I was with them for around half an hour having a chat and being covered in Benefit products, which I truly did not mind 🙂 ❤

But anyway, onto what I thought of this beautiful little gem that is now a staple in my everyday make-up routine! 🙂

The packaging of this product is alright, I wouldn’t say I love it as it gets marked pretty quickly and as it is in a deep square its a tad difficult to swirl a brush in there, but overall it is okay. I can definitely deal with it. It is a tad of an awkward shape to throw in your make-up bag too but overall it’s acceptable, I mean I don’t love it but it isn’t awful either. It comes with a teeny tiny little compact mirror too which is always nice!

This product applies beautifully to the skin, it blends like an absolute dream and as there is no orange tones in the bronzer it suits all skin tones incredibly well. I have sad it before and I’ll say it again, I am a very pale person, and this is one bronzer that looks simply stunning on my skin tone. It doesn’t look too dark, it doesn’t look orangey and it beautiful contours and bronzes my face up so I look like I have laid out in the sun, when in reality, I have stayed inside as I burn and then cry. YAY.

Lasting Power

The lasting power of this product is insane, as you are paying more for the make-up you would expect it to have a decent lasting power for both colour and not fading away into nothing like a number of products have the tendency to do. But this one is super dreamy, stays in place all day and still looks just as good when I go to take it off in the evening as it did in the morning, I mean it doesn’t look perfect, but it still looks pretty incredible I can’t lie!

Colour Match

The colouring of this bronzer is stunning, it is a lovely cool toned brown that doesn’t have any orangey tones mixed in so it doesn’t look like a orange stripe across my porcelain skin which is always a huge bonus! This would look good on a huge amount of skin tones, if you are unsure and are thinking of trying it then I urge you to go to a Benefit counter and ask for a test of it, I was blown away at how much it matched my skin tone and I truly can’t get enough of the colouring of it. B-e-a-utiful. ❤

Pigmentation isn’t really a discussion when it comes to this product, you need a tiny amount and it goes a hell of a long way on your skin! It is crazy pigmented, when I first tried this out I did my usual of swirling my brush in the product a decent amount and regretted it pretty quickly when I have to blend like a demon to make it look normal! Ha! You pay more than normal for it but you know it will last a hell of a long time purely because of how little product you need to achieve the look you want from it, be that contour or an all over bronze, this product will not let you down!

So there you have it, my quick review of the Benefit Hoola Bronzer! It is absolutely stunning and I have never been more glad that I bit the bullet and bought a product I have drooled over for so long!

If you are still contemplating splashing out then go and swatch it or get it tested on you, I promise you won’t regret it! Let me know if you go and try it or if you love it just as much as me!

Love, love, love, love! ❤

Talk soon,

Laura xo
