Mini beauty haul!

Hello! So, it was pay-day yesterday so my make-up obsessed demon needed to be sedated slightly so I popped into Boots today and bought a few bits that I needed to replace and some new things that I am SUPER excited to try out too so I thought I would do a little mini haul post to show you some of my staples in my make-up collection alongside the new goodies I picked up!
I hope you’re excited, I am excited… man I love make-up… the obsession is real, guys! 🙂

So, the first thing I needed to replace was my Simple Kind to Skin moisturiser, I have mentioned this before but I truly do not care! It is an amazing moisturiser and so super affordable to! Because I am an intern with a flat to pay for I cannot afford crazy moisturisers (yet) so I do go for more affordable and just as worthwhile products so this one is a winner on all accounts to me!

I also needed to pick up some more face wash which is the Neutrogena Daily Scrub in Pink Grapefruit. I hate grapefruit to eat, however, this stuff seriously makes me doubt this as it smells so delicious and honestly makes me want to lick my face… I don’t, obviously, but it smells so nice and fresh and makes my skin feel so dreamy and clean! Just what you need to wake yourself up as well as clean your face after cleansing in the evenings!

So, onto the magical part of my make-up haul! It’s a mini haul, I know, but make-up makes me so happy and giddy so I have to share it on my blog otherwise it wouldn’t be mine!

So, Rimmel kindly (not so kindly?) had 3 for 2 offers on everything, along with other brands, but I mainly stuck to Rimmel products today and this is what I picked up!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation- 010 Light Porcelain

This foundation is probably one of my favourites and has been for quite some time now! The match to my skin tone is pretty perfect and it gives me medium to full coverage, lasts all day and makes me look all fresh and dewy with the added sparkle in the foundation itself! If you have had some trouble sleeping or just had a long few weeks then this will be your life saver, it instantly boosts your skin and makes you look so awake and ready for the day! It stays in place with minimal powdering all day which is perfect for working long days!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation – 010 Light Porcelain

Once again, this foundation has been a staple of my collection for a while  now! It is a pretty full coverage foundation so if you tend to avoid foundations with a higher coverage then this one is not for you! This is one I tend to turn to if I am going for drinks, food or to see friends in the evenings, especially as it is getting into more Spring and Summertime weather here in the UK! It does need a tad more maintenance, and my maintenance I mean it does tend to slip around a little more throughout the day so I do need to powder and conceal a tad more, but overall, it’s a good high coverage foundation and I would happy replace my MAC Studio Fix Fluid with this bad boy!

Rimmel BB Cream – Very Fair

As I have just mentioned, we are heading into warmer times here in the UK so for a while I have wanted to try out some BB creams so that I can still wear make-up and feel dolled up without the hassle of a full blown foundation slipping all over my face! I have never tried this BB cream before, however, I have heard good reviews so I am excited to give it a shot! If you are unsure of what a BB cream is it is basically a foundation, concealer and moisturiser in one, with a lower coverage and lightweight feel on the skin! I have tried other BB creams in the past and the colour of them was tragic on my skin, however, this one is so fair that I can’t really go wrong! If I end up loving it I will do a review for you!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder – 001 Transparent

Not much to say about this little gem other than it is a brill powder to use, especially if you’re on a budget! It is so cheap, lasts forever and keeps my make-up well and truly in place until, inevitably, you have to powder again! But hey, I’m only human! It truly is great, if you haven’t already then give this a whirl!

Rimmel Kate Moss Collection Contour Kit- 002 Coral Crush

I beleive this product is new and I fell in love pretty instantaneously, so much so I picked up products I didn’t really need just so this slotted into my 3 for 2 offer! Gotta get that free make-up, ya’ll! It is really beautiful though! It is from the Kate Moss collection with Rimmel and is a trio of highlight, contour and blush! The colours look like they will work a dream on my ghost like complexion and I can never say no to a good highlighter, so once again, if I enjoy this product then I will do a little review for you!

Rimmel 24 Hour Super Curler Mascara- Intense Black

This mascara is quickly replacing my Maybelline The Falsies as my favourite mascara of the moment! I picked it up randomly a couple of months ago and have fallen in love! The curl and volume it gives my lashes makes them look fake without the faff of eyelash glue and my falsies hanging off during a night out with my not-so-sober mind failing to show me this error! It is a great mascara and truly does what it says on the packet, the curl is unreal and my lashes look blacker than my soul. WIN.

Rimmel Brow This Way brow gel- Clear

This stuff is gods gift for keeping your eyebrows in place and making sure your hairs don’t go flying off in other directions, like mine tend to throughout a day… *sigh*. It’s super cheap, does the job and I have had no issues with it so far!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- 01 Fair

An oldie but a faithful product that will stay in my make-up bag forever more, I have tried a range of concealers before you say I harp on too much about this one, but none are as good! This one stays put, hides all my pesky blemishes and suits my skin tone so well. Thank-you, Collection, for creating an affordable and bloody amazing concealer, I take my hat off to you!

So there you have it, folks! My mini beauty haul from today as my pay-day treat to calm my obsession with make-up for at least a week! Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them in the comments, and if I am missing out on any gems then please let me know! 🙂

Talk soon,

Laura
